Costs
Registration
About $165 per year, paid through Scouting America at registration: the $85 national youth fee plus the $80 NCAC council participation fee.
Troop dues
$40 per quarter. Troop dues cover program supplies and awards.
Campouts & camp
Paid per event. Fundraisers help offset bigger trips.
Military families
According to national (Scouting America): since June 1, 2026 the $85 national youth registration fee is waived for youth whose parent or guardian is currently serving on Active Duty, in the Reserve or in the National Guard. Choose “Get Military Discount Code” when registering online, verify service, and enter the code at checkout (online registration only; adult registration is not covered).
According to council (NCAC): the $80 council participation fee still applies to military families. Need-based NCAC financial support can cover it. Troop dues and campout costs are separate from both waivers.
Email [email protected] with any questions about costs. Cost should never keep a scout out of Scouting, so please ask us about help.
